What we do
Classic FM's Music Makers is a grant giving charity which raises money to fund music education and therapy projects working with the most disadvantaged children and adults across the UK.
Set up in 2006, our vision is that everyone, regardless of their age, background, education or situation will have equal opportunity to access,
enjoy and benefit from the power of classical music.
We have funded a variety of projects, from music sessions for children with hearing impairments to performances in nursing homes for elderly people with dementia. To read more about some of the projects we have funded click here .
How the money is raised
Throughout the year Music Makers holds of fundraising events including concerts, sponsored treks and annual appeals. We rely on the generosity support of Classic FM listeners and corporate supporters to donate money.

Celebrity supporters
Our Patron is Simon Bates, presenter of Classic FM’s Breakfast show, and we were delighted when Hayley Westenra agreed to join Simon and be our first official Ambassador. We are also honoured to have received the support of many famous faces from the world of classical music and entertainment.
