Minutes for the 32nd Meeting of the Classic FM Consumer Panel

1. Apologies:

Ajay Nanda, Member

The Chairman told the Panel that Ajay had handed in his resignation after 5 years on the Panel.

 

2. Matters arising

The Panel spoke about the following:

- the Digital Economy Bill

- Consumer concerns

- Christmas music

- The Classic FM Magazine

- The Classic FM website

- “Listener letter / email of the Quarter”

- Membership of the Consumer Panel

- The Annual Report

 

3. Presentation by the Managing Director

The Panel were updated on the station’s latest RAJAR figures and discussed events around the station including:

- Partnerships with Classic FM orchestras

- Classic FM Hall of Fame 2010

- The Classical BRIT Awards taking place on the 13th May

 

4. Advert of the Quarter

Mercedes (a) was voted the winner of the final Ad of the Quarter for 2009.

Volkswagen was voted Advert of the Year for 2009.

The Panel were then played the finalists in this quarter’s competition and COI was voted the first winner for 2010.

 

5. Any Other Business

The next meeting was confirmed for 8th June.
