From January 2011, Classic FM began working in partnership with Orchestras Live, a national organisation whose vision is to enable the widest range of people to have inspirational experiences of high quality live orchestral music.

Orchestras Live are a national organisation whose vision is to enable the widest range of people to have inspirational experiences of high quality live orchestral music. In 2010/11, Orchestras Live supported activity which reached 94,000 people across England.
Orchestras Live believes passionately in the power of orchestral music to change lives. Whether they are delivering high quality live concerts featuring the country’s leading orchestras, programmes for young people that give them an incredible first-time experience of live orchestral music, or participatory activity which brings culturally underserved communities together, their work has a proven and profound effect.
Orchestras Live Concerts
Orchestras Live Concerts is a programme of world class orchestral concerts that celebrates the excellence and creativity of British chamber orchestras. The concerts are presented in a curated series that reflect the needs of the promoters and their audience.
Between September 2011 and July 2012, Orchestras Live will co-promote a series of more than 45 concerts, working with over 20 partners to bring the best British chamber orchestras to 7 regions of England.
From Totnes to Hull, from Cumbria to Suffolk, Orchestras Live continues to take excellent live orchestral music to some parts of England that professional orchestras seldom visit, enabling people to enjoy high quality live performances by the nation’s best chamber orchestras on their doorstep.
The popularity of orchestral concerts continues to grow. Last year, the Orchestras Live Concerts programme saw total audiences increase by 17%, with more than 14,000 tickets sold.
