The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts
Classic FM works closely with the Prince’s Foundation for Children & The Arts on a number of projects that give children the length and breadth of the UK access to the arts.
The charity is the vision of HRH The Prince of Wales, who says: “The arts have power to shape lives, provide inspiration and awaken talent. They should not be seen as an optional extra for children or as an exercise in elitism.”
Together, Classic FM and the Prince’s Foundation for Children & The Arts, take classical music out to children around the country with MusicQuest, a project funded by Classic FM MusicMakers.
Classic FM Arts and Kids Week 2011 is running from 22 to 29 October. Many events are being held to encourage children and their families to visit their local cultural venues in the hope that the arts become part of children's everyday lives. Throughout the week Classic FM will support the events on air and online.
