ENO Presents The Tales of Hoffmann

With its phantasmagorical blurring of fantasy and reality, and cast of weird and wonderful characters, Offenbach’s opera fantastique is perfectly suited to the vivid imagination of five-time
Olivier Award-winning director Richard Jones.
Boasting such classics as the
clockwork-driven ‘Dolls Song’ and the seductively swooning ‘Barcarolle’, this popular opera will be conducted by Antony Walker and features a superb cast including Barry Banks as the lovelorn poet Hoffmann and the dazzlingly versatile American soprano Georgia Jarman singing the roles of all of Hoffmann’s loves – a feat few sopranos today can match.
