Northern Lights Symphony Valentine's Concert

The Northern Lights Symphony Orchestra, featuring world-class conservatoire graduates, will give a Valentine's Concert at St. John's, Smith Square on Friday 12 February.

The programme is The Marriage of Figaro Overture and Piano Concerto No.21 in C K.467 'Elvira Madigan' by Mozart, followed by Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.5 Opus 64.  Martin Roscoe will play the piano in the Mozart concerto.

The Northern Lights Symphony Orchestra was formed by its Artistic Director Adam Johnson in 2007, from graduates of leading conservatoires around the world.  It specialises in the repertoire of composers born within the Northern Lights.  This includes Canada, Iceland, Scotland, Scandinavia, Estonia and Northern Russia.  It is equally committed to the interpretation of standard repertoire as well as exploration of contemporary music.
