Royal Ballet Sinfonia
The Royal Ballet Sinfonia is the orchestra of Birmingham Royal Ballet.
It also plays frequently for The Royal Ballet and other international ballet companies like Paris Opéra Ballet, New York City Ballet, Australian Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, the Kirov, Norwegian Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and La Scala Ballet.
The Sinfonia’s wide discography includes video soundtracks to Birmingham Royal Ballet productions, CDs of English string music and the film scores of Richard Addinsell’s Far from the Madding Crowd and The Ealing Comedies, which won the 1998 Gramophone Award for best film music.
