Camilla Kerslake - Camilla Kerslake
Camilla Kerslake, a 21-year-old singer who is the first signing to Take That singer Gary Barlow's new record label, is celebrating her first BRIT nomination for her eponymously titled debut album.
Camilla was working at the same suite of recording studios as the successful pop group earlier this year, and after leaving copies of her demo for Gary to listen to, he eventually listened and was very impressed by what he heard.
The result is a breathtaking 12-track album produced by Mike Hedges (The Priests and Dido) and recorded in Ireland. It features her own impeccable versions of Classic FM favourites like Panis Angelicus, the Cavatina from The Deerhunter and the track How Can I Keep From Singing which featured on the Waitrose Christmas TV ad campaign.
