Coldstream Guards - Heroes
The Band of the Coldstream Guards, one of the oldest serving military bands in the world.
In the last ten years, the Band has also undertaken four concert tours to Japan, a three-month tour of the USA and several other performances worldwide. In June 2008 the band signed a £1million record deal with the label that originally signed the Rolling Stones. The resulting album 'Heroes' made it to the top of the Classical Album Chart in December 2009.
'Heroes' features rousing and patriotic music to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and includes film classics The Dambusters and The Great Escape and stirring favourites such as Elgar's Nimrod and Pomp and Circumstance, and Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries.
