The Priests - Harmony
Guinness World Record holders The Priests get a second shot at winning a Classical BRIT with their latest album 'Harmony'.
Fathers Eugene O Hagan, Martin O Hagan and David Delargy's first album was the fastest selling classical debut album of all time, superseding even Pavarotti's AND making them an overnight sensation that was 30 years in the making.
If that wasn’t enough, they became Guinness World Record holders and performed at the Classical Brits and Classic FM Live.
All this, and they have still kept their ‘day jobs’ as parish priests!
In November 2009 The Priests launched their second album, Harmony. "It’s music that we love, songs we wanted to record. We feel it’s music that people will also love," Father David Delargy explains the song choices on the new album. "There’s some music that people are familiar with already, some real favourites like ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’."
"All of these will hopefully lift people’s spirits. Harmony, I hope, will be a title that people will latch onto," says Father Martin O'Hagan.
