Popstar to Operastar sees eight best-selling recording artists attempting to show that they have the vocal range, the stamina and staying power to master the glorious art of opera.
The operatic hopefuls are trained to perform world-famous opera arias by chart-topping mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins and Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón , and are critiqued by a panel of judges including actor Simon Callow and violinist Vanessa Mae .
