Win a year's supply of Kellogg’s Optivita
We've teamed up with Kellogg's Optivita to promote National Cholesterol Week by giving away a year's supply of Kellogg's Optivita.
National Cholesterol Week runs from 13th - 19th September, 2010. Celebrity chef and ambassador for Heart UK, Aldo Zilli
will launch the UK’s first National Cholesterol Week on Monday 13th September at his London restaurant, Zilli Fish.
Kellogg's Optivita is a cereal that offers a simple everyday way to enjoy an appetising breakfast and help you to lower your cholesterol.
Its secret? As well as being high in fibre and made from wholegrain, Kellogg's Optivita has no added salt, is low in saturated fat and contains oat bran (also known as Oat Beta-Glucan). This is the naturally active part of oats that soaks up excess cholesterol, then actually helps to remove it from your body.
Together with a balanced diet and an active lifestyle, keeping an eye on our cholesterol level is important to our health and fitness.
And, with up to one third of the daily suggested intake of oat bran you need to help make a difference to your cholesterol count, a single bowl of Optivita is a simple, tasty way to help you look after your heart.
Chef Aldo Zilli tragically lost several members of his own family to heart disease and is keen to promote a healthy lifestyle and healthy living, plus of course healthy eating. To launch National Cholesterol Week, Aldo will be encouraging London commuters to take a cholesterol test in his restaurant on the Monday morning and sample a delicious breakfast in conjunction with Kelloggs’ Optivita. He will also be providing a range of delicious recipes throughout the week to show that healthy eating is also delicious eating.
