There's always been a curious connection between science and music. Most famously Einstein was a keen fiddler, and Jack Liebeck, who we heard from yesterday, uses the violin to explain the String Theory of the make up of the universe! Composer Michael Zev Gordon's fascination was to turn the chemical structure of human DNA into a piece of music for 40 voices. After performances at the Diamond Light Synchrotron in Didcot last Friday and the Cheltenham Music Festival on Saturday, it's next outing is at The Royal Society of Medicene in London tonight.
