Southbank Sinfonia's teamed up with cellist Raphael Wallfisch to present a new version of Schumann’s cello concerto. The concept was actually suggested by Schumann himself, but it's taken 150 years for the composer's wishes to be carried out. The new version was prompted by Raphael Wallfisch who explains why it's always joyous to find new repertoir for the cello even though it's from an old source.
