Ex Cathedra have really been pushing the boat out his season to celebrate it's 40th anniversary. An expanded version of the early music ensemble is on stage this afternoon at the Town Hall in Birmingham, with a programme of conventional repertoir but also two 21st century pieces, one of which is inspired by the first Earthrise seen by astronauts on the moon.
