This week Brian Shallcross takes advantage of the Easter Recess in Parliament to head to the upper chamber where he talks with Lord Renton. Tim Renton used to be Conservative MP for Mid Sussex and rose to be Government Chief Whip when he was in the Commons. Now he’s in the upper house as an active back bench peer.
