Saturday Night at the Movies with Howard Goodall
Classic FM’s resident film and TV composer will be playing soundtracks from the latest movies and classical favourites featured in films.
We’re delighted to be broadcasting a film soundtracks programme on Classic FM, presented by Howard Goodall – a man who’s no stranger to composing for the big screen.
Saturday 19 May
This Saturday, Howard Goodall celebrates the legacy of Charlie Chaplin – a man who was not only a fine comic actor but also a hugely talented composer. Chaplin wrote much of the music for his own films, and we’ll hear some of those scores tonight. Also included are a collection of Chaplin themes that have been carefully reconstructed by the British composer and conductor Carl Davis.
