Silent Nights is the stunning new album from Classic FM, a wonderful collection of well-known Christmas music, beautifully arranged by renowned contemporary composer Nigel Hess for piano and strings.
Last year Classic FM conducted a listener poll to find out the nation’s favourite traditional Christmas songs, and the results form the basis of tracks chosen for Silent Nights, including the tranquil ‘Away In A Manger’ and ‘Silent Night’, and more celebratory pieces ‘Hark The Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’.
Silent Nights is peaceful, tranquil, and reflective music – and since Christmas can be a frantic time, these are sentiments that many people look for during the festive season.
