Classic FM Live

On Monday 15 March, Classic FM celebrated 10 years since our very first Classic FM Live concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Classic FM played host to Julian Lloyd-Webber performing the programme's Full Work - the sublime Elgar Cello Concerto - accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra under the watchful eye of Adrian Lucas.

We also saw the Classic FM Live debuts from some of the classical world's brightest young talents including the Welsh baritone Rhydian Roberts , performing two Welsh-themed pieces from his album O Fortuna, soprano Camilla Kerslake and talented clarinettist Sarah Williamson .

And not forgetting David Temple and his wonderful Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Fanfare Trumpets of the Coldstream Guards who led the singing of Land of Hope & Glory in true celebratory style. Take a look at the photographs below.

The concert raised money for our Charity Classic FM Music Makers, which funds music education projects around the country, and was sponsored once again by the ever-hospitable Grant's Whisky.
