Sky presents an evening with Classic FM
Sky - proud sponsors of Howard Goodall On... are giving you the chance to win tickets to see Howard Goodall at Sky presents an Evening with Classic FM in Manchester on Wednesday 2nd September.
Specially created to celebrate Digital Switchover the concert is the final one in a series of 5 that has taken Classic FM to Penzance, Plymouth, Barnstaple and Swansea. The concert will be at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on the 2nd September and, thanks to Sky, we are able to introduce a stunning line up.
Sadly, on the day, Hayley Westenra was ill and unable to perform. We were very lucky that local Tenor Sean Ruane was able to step in. Having recently finished performing at the opening of The Ashes games, Sean was a brilliant stand in for Hayley, receiving a fantastic reception from his home crowd.
Nicola Benedetti performed the Lark Ascending, accompanied by the Philharmonia orchestra, conducted by Clark Rundell. For full repertoire information, see the bottom of the page.
